Environmental Statement
HAT Trustees will aim to reduce the environmental impact of its activities to promote environmental good practice.
HAT Trustees is committed to reducing its usage of and emissions from utilities and transport associated with its operations. We encourage the use of public transport wherever practical. Where car travel is deemed necessary, an ultra-low emission vehicle (ULEV) will be used. An electric vehicle charger has been installed at the premises of the Northern office and our directors currently use hybrid vehicles with plug-in technology when it is impractical to travel by public transport to a client.
HAT Trustees is committed to using online communication wherever possible.
HAT Trustees aims to carry out supplier due diligence to ensure that our suppliers are environmentally aware.
HAT Trustees is committed to obtaining electricity and gas from renewable energy suppliers. We use low energy lighting and ensure power-saving modes are used on all our office equipment.
We consider our waste management and will re-use and recycle wherever possible.
We are committed to continually working to reduce the direct environmental impact of our operations.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Our business is concerned not only with the financial wellbeing of people in retirement, but of wellbeing of people generally, especially in later life or at times of ill health.
As a business we are committed to supporting health and wellbeing for all as well as care for the elderly and ill. We currently give our time and support to organisations in our community that share these ideals and we encourage all our staff and associates to engage in volunteering and fundraising activities too.
